HERON LITE is the best solution for fast 3D surveying and mapping of buildings and small infrastructures, where automatic self localization and real time change detection features are not required. However, if these features are needed, the upgrade to HERON AC-1 or MS-1 is always possible. HERON LITE has been realized to satisfy the needs of fast local real time mapping thanks to patented 360° surround view to capture real-time 3D LiDAR data that include distances and calibrated reflectivity measurements. The easy to use interface and the extremely light weight make HERON LITE a perfect tool for daily 3D fast mapping on the field. HERON LITE is composed of a Velodyne Puck LITE sensor and an easy to carry rugged control unit and it is fully compatible with JRC 3D Reconstructor® software to manage point clouds and images coming from different LiDAR and imaging platforms.

    *Global accuracy depends on the effectiveness of the SLAM registration algorithm, which can be influenced by the geometry of the surveyed data. Long paths in absence of loop closures and cross passes, and different conditions as narrow tunnels and stairs, can downgrade the global accuracy to 20-50 cm, partially or fully improvable using the advanced control parameters available in the HERON® Desktop software.
